New 2.0 Challenge!

The 2.0 challenge last year helped me to be more aware of the different technologies out there that we can use to help our patrons and enhance our own lives. I believe that it has made me a little more effective in being able to help patrons with basic computer operations, such as copying and pasting links to other websites, etc. I have been exploring the web a little more than I was, and have started posting a couple of "How-to's" on the "Instructables" website. This past summer, I had the kids color robots for a coloring contest that they had on "Instructables", and we won a book which we placed in the YA nonfiction section. (I think that the children/YA really had a good time with that.) I have kept altering my avatar just because it is entertaining. :) When I was on vacation last summer, I copied my vacation pictures onto "Flickr" from my friend's digital camera while I was still in Louisiana, which was really convenient. I have really enjoyed exploring the internet with you all, and I look forward to learning more in the days to come!
