This Summer, I went to Louisiana for various reasons, not the least of which was to celebrate my upcoming 40th birthday (mine is next year, but hers was this year) with my best friend from grade school. Before I went, however, I was looking up New Orleans on the internet, and discovered this little strange tidbit I thought that I would share with you. Here is the cemetery gate from Lafayette cemetery #1 in New Orleans, and here are the two cemetery gates in my hometown. I don't know that this is of any particular significance to anyone, it is probably just because they were constructed at approximately the same time in history, but I thought that it was curious that they were so similar in appearance. And there you are. My spooky cemetery post a month early for halloween. Boo. ;)
